The way people respond as victims of crime depends
largely on their experiences immediately following the crime. However, when people saw a happen of crime,
their respond or reaction would be giving accordingly because different type of
people might have different type of respond or reaction.

There are some
respond or reaction that would be giving by people who around the crime scene.
Firstly, some people might lend a hand to the victim by providing some first
aid medicine if the victim has get injured. Moreover, some people might make a
call for ambulance when they saw the victim had get a serious injury. Several
people might also call to police station to make a report and be the eyewitness
if they saw the entire crime process. Thus, there are also some people who are
heartless in the world, they might just pass by the crime scene, act like
nothing happen and they did not saw anything even did not lend a hand to the
victim who get injured.
People often feel helpless, vulnerable, and frightened
by the trauma of their victimization. As the people who around the crime scene,
you can respond to victims by following these guidelines:
· Reassure victims of their safety and say to
victims, “You're safe now”. Use body language to show concern, such as nodding
your head, using natural eye contact, placing yourself at the victim's level
rather than standing over seated victims, keeping an open stance rather than
crossing your arms, and speaking in a calm voice.
· Ask victims to tell you in just a sentence or
two what happened. Ask if they have any physical injuries. Take care of their
medical needs first.
· Offer to contact a family member or friend for
victims.
· Make a phone call for ambulance if the victims
get serious injury.
· Make a phone call to police station.
· Stay at the crime scene if you are the
eyewitness to provide necessary information.
· Ask victims about any special concerns or needs
they may have.
In
conclusion, these are the respond or reaction that would be giving by people when they saw a crime
scene happen. They should give some help to victims instead of do nothing.
