Experience of handling the Activities Booth in Always Safe Campaign

Hi everyone, thank you for giving chance to let me share some of my experience when I am assigned to handling the activities booth during the Always Safe Campaign. The activities booth that I am handling in the Always Safe Campaign which were the mini game called "Are You The Next One " and "Watch Your Back ".

"Are You The Next One "

In the Mini Game with the title “Are You the Next One” is design in the quiz format for the audience to answer the question. The purpose of Mini games is to test the visitor knowledge about personal safety and educate visitor about personal safety tips. In the Mini games section my responsible is to guide the visitor how to play the games step by step and also educate and explain to them when they answer a wrong answer.

How to Play “Are You the Next One”

First, the visitors asked to choose 1 among the 10 card to answer the question. Second, the visitors asked to stand behind the line to throwing the ping pong to the correct answer that stick on the board. Third, if the visitor answers the question correctly by throwing the pin pong that stick on the board, then he/ she can proceed to the next section which is to draw a big X on the crime cases to indicate they should avoid form the cases.

My Experience on handling the Mini Games

When i was asked to handling the Mini games I was so excited and nervous with it. Because i understood this responsibility will require me to explain clearly for the visitor on how to play the games step by step in order to make the visitor understood the games. Besides, one of my experiences was that which have a few students argues with me on the question of “Someone is knocking your door when you are alone at alone what should you do” and majority of the visitor will answer “Keep quit and be silent” ask me why I said their answer was wrong, but after I explained to them if they ignore the people who knocking the door but some time the people knocking the door is seek for help. They just realize that they are wrong, so through the activities the visitor will be more aware on the personal safety.

The visitor realized that he answer the wrong answer.

"Watch Your Back "booth

Second activities that I handling which the “Watch Your Back “booth. It has designed in an unique way to spreading information to the visitor. The booth decorated as a Tarot booth as indicates that the problems from audiences can be solved.

How to Play "Watch Your Back "

First, the visitor were asked to choose one among the four categories which were home, social, campus and campus driving as their biggest safety concern that they are keen to know more about. Second the witch will ask the visitor to choose another one among the two cards. Third, after the visitor choose the card the witch will explained to the visitor the situation and provide the solution for the visitor by offering practical tips for them to avoid serious incident from happening.

My experience on handling “Watch Your Back “booth

When i was asked to handling the “ Watch Your Back “ booth  I was so excited because can dress up like a real witch and act like witch to provide an information to the visitor. My experience on handling “Watch Your Back “ is to act like the witch to let the visitor to enjoy and listen to you what the safety tips that you provided. Besides, there are some of visitor give some feedback after they participating “ Watch Your Back “ activities, they think that is a creative way by using the taro idea to promote the personal safety and they get the knowledge of personal safety through this activities.

A participants was listening to the witch on explanation of the personal safety tips.
