Today, people are constantly been faced with danger no matter man or woman, especially young adult. Every corner lurks an enemy, no matter seen or unseen, that waits for the perfect opportunity to seize. So that, for our personal safety, we need to fend of foes threatening them and it is clearly obvious that we should learn self-defense to protect ourselves.
Self-defense is a survival skill.
Self-defense training is an insurance that us mostly ignored even overlooked by
people, but it is very well that may help in our personal safety and that of
our families. Crime rate has been increasing nowadays. Unfortunately, there is
no place where the possibility of violent attack can be discounted, at home, in
your car, or on the street we have to be aware and prepared. Having access to the proper self-defense techniques can
help men, women, and children boost their confidence in less-than-ideal
situations. Though we tend to stray from trouble, strangers can be unpredictable.
This significant knowledge can help us keep calm and use the proper teachings
passed down to us during confrontational circumstances.
Why are physical defensive skills so important?
Many self-defense training courses are
lecture-based with no hands-on realistic scenario training. While it is true
that priority should certainly be given to training in areas such as awareness,
avoidance procedures, body-language, and verbal defensive tactics, the main
problem is that the confidence to use these non-physical passive resistance
techniques is not normally present without the back-up of combat effective
physical defensive skills.
Having good physical defensive skills as a backup allows our confidence to project when using passive resistance skills such as diffusing body language and verbal defense tactics.

Does self-defense work?
YES! Self-defense training increases your
options and helps you prepare responses to avoid, slow down, de-escalate, or
interrupt an attack, and also empowers one to prevent violence. It is important
that the strategies and skills deal with the potential violence from
acquaintances and intimates, not only strangers. Women usually know their
attackers, therefore it is essential that a person is training in how to deal
with the violence that can come from someone you know.
Self-Defense Tips That Could Come In Handy One Day
1. If someone tries to rob or
attack you in your home, head for the kitchen
Only you, the person who
lives there, knows where you keep the knives, breakable plates, and spices that
could potentially be turned into harmful weapons. If all else fails, just start
screaming and throwing utensils and pans to create noise to alert neighbors.

2. Invest in a self-defense
statement ring.
Not only are these rings are beautiful, but they double as weapon
when you’re provoked. Kind of like a more discreet version of brass knuckles.
3. If
someone tries to attack you on the street, do not stand still.
Even if you’re not an
athlete or trained in self-defense, you have the capabilities to fight someone
off. Inexperienced fighters are prone to standing still, so remember to utilize
all available body parts, like your knees, elbows, and legs.
