ALLways Safe Campaign has different types of activity such as ‘Travelling journey’, ‘Oculus rift’, ‘Watch your back’ Taro card, ‘Are you the next one’ mini games and also offer a booth of selling ‘Stopper pepper spray’ security equipment. These activity may be simple but it is sufficient enough to convey the clear message which is to create awareness and educate audiences on personal safety information. In addition, it is also emphasizing on Campus safety, Home safety and Social safety.
Apart from learning and explaining personal safety information, we did observe audiences reaction and feeling when they participated in the campaign. In fact, during Day 1 campaign, we realized that everyone was talking about the heat and it was a bit crowded which people has no space to queue up. Thus, during Day 2, we decided to lift up more cover in order to make air circulation. In addition, it is allow people to look what is inside the ‘SAFE house’. It is because there were comments from people that they do not dare to go inside ‘SAFE house’ where it is covered with black. Besides, we also decided to reposition booth arrangement in order to make sure everyone has the chances to participate in every activity. Therefore, we more away booth of ‘Stoper pepper spray’ to outside of ‘SAFE house’ so that people can have a look while registration.
Oculus Rift is the hottest and highlight of ALLways Safe campaign. It is not only to have fun, it allows audiences have an opportunity to be experienced what would happened and how do they react when they are socializing. Through the observation, audiences liked Oculus rift due to no matter how long the queue was, they are willing to spend time and wait in order to try Oculus rift. In fact, they are quite large amount of audiences knew about Oculus rift and feel excitement that it is free of charge to experience.
On top of that, we found out that some audiences came for 2 days campaign due to they would like to experience again the Oculus rift. They were also recommended it to their friends and came along together. It is a good news for us whereby audiences’ action indicated that we enables to convey the message and they are recommended it to their friends and willing to join.

Q: “How do you feel about the ‘Oculus rift’ activity?”
A: “It is so fun and vivid! I’m feeling anxious that what would happen in next second.”
“I did not realize there is someone following me, it is horrible if it happen in real life.”
“I will be worried if my girlfriend is drunk and nobody cares for her when she is alone.
Apart from Oculus rift, people actually thought ‘Travelling journey’ was a ghost house where they being attracted due to they heard of people screaming inside of ‘Travelling journey’ which makes them curious what is it. However, they are willing to experience after we were explaining the purpose and idea of ‘Travelling journey’.
Furthermore, many of the audiences actually has chosen to hide when a break-in situation happened. We will then educate them that hiding is not the correct ways to react when a break-in situation happen and then explain what is the appropriate response they should have when facing a crimes happen.

“At first, I do not know the intention of ‘travelling journey’, but I understand the meaning behind after I experienced it which is telling us being safe all the time.”
“It is very fun and good try!”
“Actually I do not what to do when someone break-in.”
“I like the atmosphere and decoration, it is so professional.”
“Now I know who to call when I faced the same situation.”
“I did not expect that I have to do self-defense.”
“I’m thinking whether the victim is really injured or trying to cheat as there are too many crimes happen where people using this kind of trick to cheat.”
The comments from audiences are considered as good comments because it indicates they did learn a lesson, found out the mistakes they had and also aware for their personal safety after experienced from ‘Travelling journey’.
Students were willing to spend time and queue up for ‘Travelling journey’.
As for exhibition, audiences were surprised when they entering into ‘SAFE house’. People were thinking that the exhibition board and others decoration were professional. Through observation, we knew that audiences will follow and perform the self-deference action while reading the information and also talking to their friends how to protect themselves by using the personal safety product that we showed at exhibition board. In addition, some of the audiences would like to purchase those product that showed at exhibition in order to product themselves.

Last but not least, we found out that majority of audiences or students did not know the correct method or information of personal safety such as they do not know the correct emergency telephone number to call in different circumstances. It is a good opportunity for ALLways Safe campaign to educate audiences about correct personal safety information and solution.
